Government is out of its mind.
Some one want to tell me why they want to spend over 17 million dollars to lasso an asteroid when the debt is out of control?
I just makes no since.
Another thing, anti-discrimination laws are in themselves discriminatory. Some one is getting sued for what they believe in.

My Rant for the week.
I have been watching the television news and events as well as listening to the radio news and talk radio programs, it has led me to this conclusion - the human race is filled with nothing more that moron and idiots.
Here in the United States, the 'majority' of the population keep electing jerks that want to take more of the citizens' hard earned money while at the same time reduce the amount of liberty enjoyed by themselves.
Almost two hundred and fifty years ago, brave souls fought against such madness. Excessive taxes and an oppressive governement that wanted nothing more than to control every aspect of the populations life. Those brave souls were successful in obtaining liberation from unfair tax burdens and a government that told them how they were going to live thier lives. Now almost two hundred and fifty years later, thier descendents want to throw all that away and go back to living the oppressed life. Way to go morons.
People don't have healthcare because they work part time or are unemployed, but yet they want healthcare. Resolutions to this problem are: get a better job or just go out and get a job. There are companies out there that do sell health insurance coverage to those that don't have it, I know there is - I have seen the commercials on television.
Problem two in this category, insufficient coverage by an employer. Stop government interference in commerce. Promote the resolution with permant tax breaks for those business so that they can have that healthcare coverage. Don't tax them for not having it.
Oh and as far as there not being any jobs for people that want them, get the government out of business. Don't regulate these business to death. Don't fine nor levy huge fees on these businesses. Let the businesses be free to expand and create jobs with out the fear of government involvement.
Here is a note to all you 'employee unions' out there, get off the employers' back. You are so worried about getting more out of the employer that you are responsible in part for the cost of goods and services going skyward! Fact of economics, you should take a class on it.
Taxes, such an ugly subject. The purpose of taxes is to pay for the function of government and to pay the military for the defense of our nation. What is not the purpose of taxes is to support other nations who cannot support themselves or use that money to fund intities that would love to do us harm. Taxes are not for the vacations of elected nor hired government persons and thier families. No world traveling on the public dime! Do you really need to 'visit' all these places? In this age of technology we can converse with other people with out leaving our shores. We can video conference or just simply use the telephone. We no longer have to travel somewhere just to talk to someone, that was in the day when the only way to cross the oceans was on sailing ships. If your family wants a vacation you pay for it out of your own pocket, to include and security that may be needed. Do Not Take It Out Of Our Pockets!! In the private sector, when that happens we call it embezzelment or a kinder term is misappropriations of funds. But when the government does it we just let it slide, aren't we stupid. Time to wake up I think.
Government regulation of personal rights. Give me a break, are we really going to sign over our lives to people that do not even know us and let them tell us how to live?
Some evil minded person or some mentally ill individual takes a firearm or two and shoots other people and all of a sudden the government is telling us that we need to get rid of the firearms. I'm sorry but no, it was a human being that operated that mechanical device to do harm to others, A firearm in and of itself cannot take any action. It is not a living thing, it requires manipulation from a being with rudamentry mechanical skills in order to function as it was designed. It is not the firearms that we need to get rid of, it is the political correctness mentality that keeps us from labeling a person as mentally unstable. We need to stop letting other people tell us how the think and what to do. Your elected office holders DO NOT know better than you do. The are flawed individuals just like every other human being on this planet. Stop taking thier word as perfect and necessary! After all they are they ones taking your money and living the good life not wanting for anything while you are trying to pay your bills and feed your family.
Do not give up your rights that have been apart of this country for nearly two hundred and fifty years! Do not give up your firearms, do not give up your right to run your mouth, and do not give up your right to practice your religion the way you see fit!
The worlds war on Christianity has come to the United States of America and it has hit a feverish pace compared to the last few years. Before it was just around Christmas time, now it is all the time. Marriage is being attacked and deluted, even perverted. The biblical definition, even the dictionary definition of marriage is the union of a man and a woman in matramony. The coming together of a man and a woman to start a family. It is not for "Steve and Harry" nor "Barb and Martha". If homosexuals (both men and women - the classic definition) want to live as a "couple" then you have "civil unions", go for that. Do not pervert nor demean what me and my wife have by calling your domestic situation a marriage. That offends me and my wife both.
The 'Defense of Marriage Act' was meant that if the people of California wanted to recognize civil unions but the people of Texas did not then that is the way it would be. In other words, if a homosexual pair wanted to live as a couple move to a state that recognized that. If you want to live your life in a certain style you moved to that area which makes that possible, much like moving to warming climates if you can not stand the cold. Move near water if you like to fish and swim, and away from it if you don't.
I am really sick of people telling others that they cannot wear a cross, talk of the bible or even of thier church, nor display things that celebrate the faith that I follow just because someone else may be upset. There oppression of me and my beliefs upsets me and that should matter as much as the whiners who do not like what I believe or how I think. No one will ever tell me that I can not say "Merry Christmas", "Happy Easter", "Happy Passover", "God be with you", nor any other greeting or blessing I wish to utter. It is my God given right to say it.
Having served in the Military and as a government employee I learned that the government has an illness. The chief symptom and biggest issue with this illness is the lack of common sense. It was like all politians and government managment personel were purposely infected upon taking office. Now I fear the this illness has spread to the general population, that is the only way I can explain how these liberty robbing politicains keep getting elected into office. We as a nation need to seriously think about term limits for ALL politicians.
In short we all need to tell our government to get out of our wallets, get out of our homes, get out my gun cabinet, leave my faith alone and get out of our lives.
But a major infusion of common sense and some basic intelligence is going to have to be obtained first, my fear is that will not happen or happen to late.
